This project was to construct two large hanger bays to accommodate the C-130 aircraft, de-paint bay, paint removal and paint bays.  Kozco completed various outside utilities including a 30" concrete pipe, 6" water mains, 10" fire mains, storm drains, industrial water, sanitary sewer and high pressure gas mains.  Two Ingersoll Rand Compressors, WAC coolers, dryers, filters, tanks and associated copper piping were installed to accommodate shop air, breathing air and bead blast equipment.  Process piping included anodyne, brightener; soap NPW, DI and high-pressure wash system.  Fifteen gas fired make-up air units provided heat. .  This project involved concurrent systems running simultaneous of each other. It had paint booths, sanding / blasting booths, which had all of the usual items, shop air, breathing air, hot and cold water, de-ionized water, industrial waste lines, and a complete plumbing and mechanical system. The uniqueness of this project is the location in relation to the rest of the hangers. It is a virtual island at HAFB, so all of the utilities, sewer, drains, water, etc., had to be coordinated very carefully, as there are items in this building that are unique to it.
